Jane Knapp Irvine

Jane Knapp Irvine, 94, of Lexington, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Carl Franklin Irvine. Born February 26, 1923, in Greenbrier County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Campbell Knapp and the late Sarah McFerrin Knapp

Jane was homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Lexington.

Jane is survived by her three children, Linda Emore and her husband Kenny of Lexington, Andy Irvine and his wife Michele of Charlottesville and Carla Shay and her husband Jr. of Fairfield; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and special friends, Martha and Tom Seaman, Eleanor Chittum, Oscar Plogger, Pat Hunt and the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens in Lexington, VA with the Rev. Mike Pettry officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Shenandoah or the Salvation Army.
