Janet Marie Gillespie Nelson

Mrs. Nelson was born in Mineola, NY on July 28, 1927 and was preceded in death by her father, George Gillespie and her mother, Blanche Gillespie.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty two wonderful years, Carl Leroy (Roy) Nelson. She and Roy raised three children; Kenneth John Nelson and his devoted wife Carol; Carole Ann Skelly and her devoted husband Dave; Brian Paul Nelson and his devoted wife Debbie. She had four grandchildren; Colleen (Skelly) Larzelere and her husband Alex; Daniel Skelly and his wife Meagan; Keith Skelly and Lauren Skelly.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Following the prayer service, the family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Monsignor Michael D. McCarron officiating.
