Jean Pate Ferris

Born in Lynchburg, August 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Murin Pate and Lucile Donald Pate. Jean was retired from the Bank of America after 32 years of service and was a charter member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann “Bobo” Pate and Macel Pate Falwell and one brother, Samuel K. Pate.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Samuel K. “Ken” Pate, Jr. and his wife Debbie, Kathy Pate McNeill and her husband Brad, Jerry L. Falwell, Jr. and his wife Becki, Jeannie Falwell Rivers and her husband Al and Jonathan Pate Falwell and his wife Shari and a number of great nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 in the Pate chapel of Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
