She embraced the event with joy knowing that when she left this world she would be in a better place and rejoin her “soul mate” and husband David Lytle who passed away in 2005. It is her desire that friends and family remember and rejoice in the life she led.
Jeanette was very committed to her beliefs, particularly in speaking up for the unborn. She met and married Dave in the fall of 1981 and they enjoyed a wonderful partnership, spreading the word and making a difference in the lives of those that they touched.
In March of 2014, Jeanette started a new chapter in her life by moving from Lynchburg, Va. to her “cute little home” in Caribbean Isles Community, Apollo Beach, Fl. She loved her new life and the community, making many new friends and even trying out karaoke.
Jeanette is survived by her children, John A. Curtiss and partner Carol Heelas of Frewsburg, N.Y., Lyle Becka and partner Tanis Thacker of Melbourne, Fl. and Nor Ahearn and husband Mike of Apollo Beach, Fl. She is also survived by grandchildren Rachel Curtiss and Julian Becka as well as close friend Crystal Billa of Lynchburg, Va. Also very important in her life was her bird Dale and grand dog Shamrock.
Jeanette will be greatly missed by the lives she touched. A graveside service will be conducted 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2015, at the Amelia Veteran’s Cemetery with the Rev. Denny Green officiating. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday May 6th 12noon at Caribbean Isles Community 405 Elsberry Road Apollo beach, Fl.
