Born December 13, 1929, in Grundy, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Polly Ann Deel Fields.
Ms. Fields was retired from Camelot Nursing Home and a member of Amazing Grace Ministries on Langhorne Road.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Fields was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Ms. Fields is survived by her son Charles M. Fields and his wife Ellen of Forest; three sisters, Mary Catherine Gray of Montvalle, Cynthia Macel Fields of Lynchburg and Goldie Marie Gilliland of Rustburg; one granddaughter, Dawn Fields Wise and her husband Travis of Rustburg and one great-grandson, Grayson William Wise.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Bill Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, 12:30 – 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
