Joe Kent Kershner Jr.

Born on December 19, 1958 in Hixburg, he was the son of the late Joe Kent Kershner Sr. and Rebecca L. Kershner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Kershner.

He worked for Falwell Corp for over 40 years prior to retirement. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing, frog gigging, collecting antique bottles, spending time with his family and going to church. He was a member and trustee of Harvest Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca T. Kershner, children William Kershner (Jenni), Jeff Torrence (Markieta), Jennifer Southall and Jessica Barbour (Wayne); siblings Donnie Price (Jewel), Dale Kershner, Doug Kershner, Norma Snowden (Mark); grandchildren Cody, Lily, Khloe, Greyson and Braelyn; numerous nieces and nephews and his feline companion, Cas.

A memorial service celebrating Joe’s life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with the Reverend Mark Snowden officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
