He was born on May 22, 1951 in Lynchburg, son of the late Johnnie C. Jackson, Sr. and the late Frances G. Jackson. In addition to his parents a brother, James “Buddy” T. Cyrus, preceded him in death.
Johnnie was retired from Bohling Steel and was a 1971 graduate of EC Glass High School. He was a big University of Virginia and Yankees fan.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Robin S. Jackson and his children, Kymberly Tyree (Mike), Evan Jackson (Lindsey), Bobbie Jackson (Divonta), William Wright (Kristy) and April Wright (James) as well as a brother, Joseph C. Jackson (Gladys). Five grandchildren, whom he cherished, also survive him.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
