Joseph was born in Lynchburg on June 10, 1981.
He was an active member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. He loved roller skating, swimming, bowling and motor cycle riding.
Left to cherish his memory are his father David L. Mabe and mother Erika Gaertig Mabe of Lynchburg, VA;, two brothers Thomas L. Mabe and Michael D. Mabe of Walnut Cove, NC; two nieces, Michelle D. Mabe and Heather A. Mabe of Walnut Cove, Cove, NC. He is also survived by a host of other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Joey will be at Hyland Heights Baptist Church, 11452 Wards Road, Rustburg, Virginia 24588 on Saturday February 10. Visitation starts at 1:00 PM, Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Rev Carl Weiser and Dr. Josh Carter will be officiating. Please come.
