Joyce Noel Brumfield

Born February 17, 1928 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Leland Clyde and Nannie Londeree Noel.

She is also preceded in death by sister, Jean Simpson; brothers, Billy Sunday Noel and Leland Clyde Noel, Jr.; daughter, Toni Lombard Thomas; and son-in-law, Jerry Robertson.

She was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church.

Joyce is survived by daughters, Dianne Robertson of Lynchburg, Nancy Jane Grimes and husband, Danny of Forest; son, Leland Clyde Brumfield of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Timothy Lombard, Shawn Ayers, Tonya Allen, Toy Ayers, Sarah Brumfield, Taylar Cannaday, Aaron Brumfield and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 in Whitten Timberlake Chapel by Pastor Kevin Brooks and Pastor Dwayne Martin. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
