

Born in Lynchburg on April 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ernest George Floyd and Florine Christian Doss Panian.
Juanita loved Elvis Presley, adored her family, and her grand-doggies. She was a very loving and attentive mother who enjoyed her solace at home where she spent most of her time with her very best friend, her daughter, Sherri.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Sherri Knight, Charles Knight, David Knight (Tim); two grandchildren, Daniel and Samuel Knight; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brendan, Brandon, Ethan, Elena and Colton Knight; two siblings, George E. Floyd (Kathy) and Joan Toaste; three nephews, Scott Floyd (Tina), David Toaste and Robert Toaste; an extended daughter, Heather Bolen; two extended grandchildren, Shanyia and Ta’leyia; extended family, Kim Williams (Otis) and Stacy Burford (Scottie); and her beloved fur grandbaby, Gizmo.
She was preceded in death by a beloved fur grandbaby, Brody.
The family will hold a celebration of life at Tree of Life Ministries on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Kingrea officiating.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family also extends a very heartfelt thank you to Centra Home Health Care and Centra Hospice, as well as Smiley Burford who was a dedicated family member who stuck by Juanita’s side until the very end.
