

Born February 24, 1950, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Emmett and Elizabeth Brooks. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Fielder; and a brother, Doug Brooks.
Survivors also include five children, Timothy Fuller and wife Angela, of Lynchburg, Chris Phelps and wife Wendy, of Gladys, Derek Brooks, of Lynchburg, Michelle Dinardo and husband Rick, of Amherst, and Jennifer Smith, of Lynchburg; four sisters, June Hall, of Forest, Delores Tucker, of Bedford, Linda Powell and husband Jr., of Lynchburg, and Dawn Frye and husband Rodney, of Amherst; a brother, Clinton Brooks, of Palm Springs, CA; two ex-wives, Carolyn Fuller, and Teresa Brooks; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Forrest, Brice, Takota, Tiffany, and Aaliya, two step-grandchildren; special friends, Tony Brooks, and Reuben Taylor and his faithful companion, “Shady”.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, by the Rev. Bobby Brumfield.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
