Kenneth Henry Schroeder, 82, of Forest, died, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Lois Delehanty West Schroeder. Born November 21, 1929, in Atchinson, KS, he was the son of the late Ernest Schroeder and the late Cecille May Tucker Schroeder.
Kenneth was a retired electrical engineer for Babcock & Wilcox, and he attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Kenneth was also a member of the Lynchburg Elks.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his daughter Deborah W. Copenhaver and her husband Dennis of Forest; two sons, Michael W. West and his wife Glenda of Forest and Kenneth M. West and his wife Cindy of Union, KY; eight grandchildren, Kylie Gilleland and her husband Ryan, Katherine Copenhaver and her fiancee’ Andrew Wells, Amy West, Julie West Evans and her husband Matt, Meredith West, Marilyn West, John West and Ryan Bierowski and his wife Laura; and seven great-grandchildren.
