

Lawrence “Randy” Moses, Sr. for 42 years.
Born on August 8, 1952 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Leverett S. Layne and Merle McFall Layne.
Lou retired as the cafeteria manager from Campbell County Public Schools. She loved quilting, music, and the outdoors but her true passion was helping and giving to others in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Lawrence R. Moses, Jr. and wife Joelle of Baltimore, MD; her daughter, Rebecca A. Jackson and husband Matthew of Concord; her nephew who was like her son, Robert S. Layne of Altavista; her three grandchildren, Fox S. Jackson, Zen J. Jackson, and Levy J. Jackson; her brother, George S. Layne of Evington; and numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church, with Pastor Charles Schooler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
