Born October 1, 1922 in Richmond, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Edward Hatcher Davis and Mary McKee Davis. She retired with K-Mart after 19 years of service, and was a member of College Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband she is also preceded in death by a son Everett Davis Stewart and a daughter, Judith S. Phelps.
Mrs. Witt is survived by a son-in-law, Floyd C. Phelps; and three grandchildren, Tonya Lynn Phelps, Randy Lee Phelps, and Jason Stewart.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
