She was born in Lynchburg on June 17, 1936, daughter of the late Austin and Lillian Dameron.
Margaret was a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church and was retired from Wachovia Bank.
She enjoyed gardening, especially working with roses. She and her husband Robert, put in the Rose Historical Garden at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church and she volunteered at the Old City Cemetery in their rose garden. She also had a passion for music, singing in the Capricords Quartet for over 50 years, had been a member of the Lynchburg College Choir and was a member as well as coach and director of the Sweet Adeline’s.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Milton Tucker and a sister, Virginia Wanda Grubbs.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denise Anne Tucker and Mark D. Tucker (Cheryn); three grandchildren, Samantha Lauren Tucker, Cody Gibson (Maria) and Christin Gibson; a nephew Richard Grubbs (Faye), as well as six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. M. Anghaarad Teague Dees officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
