

A most humble servant, he loved the Lord, his family and friends. Born in Roanoke March 16, 1925 he was the son of the late Robert A. and Aurelia Hess Dudley. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter.
Buck served in the U.S. Navy during WW-II in the Pacific Theatre, retired from Flowers Bakery after 42 years of service and was a long time member of American Legion Post 16. A dedicated member of the Lynchburg Seventh-Day Adventist church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was an avid reader, loved his Dallas Cowboys and Country Music (while in his younger years played bass with the local group "The Melody Boys").
Buck was dedicated to and survived by his wife of 70 years, Eunice; children Connie Anderson of Chattanooga, Robert and wife Louise of Bedford, Joan and husband Mike of Forest, and Hilda Osborne and Jason Fulcher of Lynchburg, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family wishes to recognize Ms. Elgie Harvey and Central Virginia Hospice for their dedicated care, support and service to Buck.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Interment with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
