Born in Amherst County, August 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Longfellow Coffey and Mattie Maddox Coffey. She was a member of the Church of God, World Wide Association.
She is survived by six children, Ted R. Staton, Jr. of Vera, Daniel R. Staton of Goode, Kathy Carroll of Madison Heights, Judy Ellis of Bedford, Janice Marie Staton of Lynchburg and Jennifer Moore of Forest; one sister, Nellie Foster of Concord several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
