Marsha Lee Melvin

She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on April 26, 1952, daughter of the late Thurmond Butcher and the late Ora Butcher.

Marsha was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church and was retired from the Columbus Public Schools. While she loved all her family, her passion was her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Frank, Doris Collins and Helen Slyh and two brothers, Charles Butcher and Joe Butcher.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Steve Melvin; two sons, Justin R. Melvin and wife Jayna and Bret A. Melvin and wife Kacie; two sisters, Donna Watson and Carol Blankenship; two brothers, David Butcher and wife Sharon and Kenny Butcher and wife Anne. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ida Melvin, Sarah Melvin, Harmony Melvin, and Shepherd Melvin.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM, on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Timberlake Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 – 7 prior to the service.
