Mary Frances Dunkley

Mary Frances Dunkley, 81, of Lynchburg passed away and joined her husband in Heaven Monday, May 3, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Duvall Edward Dunkley. Born April 9. 1940, in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Orenzer Novel Layne and the late Mary Perry Layne. Mary was a retired nurse’s aide for Liberty House Nursing Home and a member of Jordan Baptist Church. She was a strong, compassionate and a truly amazing person and will be missed dearly by those who loved her. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis L. Hendricks. Mary is survived by her two children, Arlene Tolley and James Tolley; two siblings, Roger Lee Layne (Betty) and Patricia L. Hendricks; and other loving family members and friends.
