Born March 8, 1940, in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Clements Blanks and Adele Arthur Blanks.
Scott will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Karen Rosenblum and her husband, Lenny, of Herndon, and Brynn Guthrie and her husband, Zach Spencer, of Thousand Oaks, CA; her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Rosenblum and Lindsay Rosenblum; her brother, Wiley Blanks of Richmond and his sons, Michael and Kevin Blanks; and other extended family members and dear friends.
A woman of remarkable creativity and dedication, Scott approached everything she did with an eye for detail and a passion for excellence. She was a true perfectionist whose talents shone brightly through her award-winning quilting. As a proud member of the Patches ‘N Pieces Quilt Club, her intricate and beautiful work earned recognition and was featured in a quilting magazine, leaving behind a legacy stitched with care, patience, and artistry.
Scott also expressed her love through baking, delighting family and friends with her homemade treats—most notably her exceptional sourdough bread, which became a signature expression of her warmth and generosity.

Her strong and abiding faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it out daily through her service, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her church community.
Above all, Scott was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to those around her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of creativity, faith, and love.
