Born on March 8, 1965 in Chicago Illinois, Mike had a big personality and when he entered the room everyone felt his presence. He loved to relax and go fishing when the opportunity would allow it. Mike was the kind of guy that would love to sit with a good book and just read without distractions. He was a loving brother to his siblings. Mike went out of his way to learn to cook and was known to be quite the chef as he would prepare dishes for those he cared for, his favorite being his niece Samantha. Apart from reading Michael loved to create through several means whether that be cooking meals, creating artistic works, and writing poetry that was known to “melt your socks off” as it was so well written. Mike led his life in a manner that truly represented his genuine loving nature.
Left to cherish Mike’s memory is his wife Kitty McCann; his siblings Harold Dufour Jr., Ruth Dufour, Djuna Hayes, and Yvette Dufour; and his niece Samantha Yarber and her husband Brandon and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
