Mildred Marshall

Mildred Marshall, 71, of Forest, died, Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Thomas Marshall, Sr. Born May 5, 1940, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Bowyer Creasey and the late Dorothy Melva Hodges Creasey.

Mrs. Marshall was a retired deli manager for Owen’s Market and a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by three siblings, Phyllis Creasey Goodman, Wray Lee Creasey and Howard Allen Creasey.

Mrs. Marshall is survived by four sons, George Marshall, Jr. of Forest, David Marshall and his wife Tracie of Forest, William Marshall of Evington and Terry Marshall of Forest; three siblings, JB Creasey and his wife Leanna of Lynchburg, Lucille Fitzgerald and her husband Ryland of Coleman Falls and Myrtle Bowles and her husband Raymond of Forest; seven grandchildren, William Lee Marshall, Daniel Ross Marshall, Geoffrey Thomas Marshall, Christopher Lee Marshall, Ashley Nicole Marshall, Skylar Anne Marshall and Tristan Lloyd Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted, 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 25. 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Carl Weiser officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
