

Born in Lynchburg, September 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Lawrence B. Ford and Louise Witt Ford. He retired from Progress Printing after 30 years of service. Nick had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband, father and grand-father.
Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Minor P. “Nicky” Ford, Jr. of Roanoke, Brian L. Ford and his wife Michelle of Bedford; one daughter, Kristy F. Kennedy and her husband Doug of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Anna Ford, Whitney Ford, Cory Ford, Jenna Ford, Taylor Kennedy and Emily Kennedy; one great granddaughter, Ava Hudson; half sister, DeRhonda L. Graybill one sister-in-law, Marie Carwile and husband Page; four brothers-in-law, Fred Lewis, Kenneth Lewis and wife Karen, Welton Lewis and Mike Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 Friday, July 14, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
