

Mrs. Parrish was born December 2, 1937 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Herman S. Wells and Cady F. Wells. She was retired from GE after 35 years of service and was a member of Jordan Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Judy Parrish Perrow and her husband, Malcolm; a son, Michael A. Parrish and his wife Wanda; five grandchildren, William, Steven and Joseph Perrow; Nathan and Makayla Parrish; two sisters, Doris Johnson and Gladys Daniel and her husband James and her sister-in-law, Carrie Johnson.
Two brothers-in-law, Clarence Johnson and Swanson Johnson preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Dr. Melvin Campbell and the Rev. Melvin Sisson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.

The family wishes to thank Tammy Smith, Frances Holdren and Minnie Fitzgerald, her caregivers, for the compassion shown to her.
