She was born on June 26, 1938 in Queens, New York, and raised her family on Long Island. She relocated to Central Virginia in 1994 to be with her family. Nancy was a very strong and independent person. She enjoyed working and worked hard all of her life to provide for her family, as they were always her primary focus and the center of her life. She loved life and truly understood that life was a beautiful gift and encouraged her children to do the same.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Moeller and Edna Merrill Adkin, and her brother, Arnold Moeller.
Nancy is survived by her four children and their spouses, Vickie Maiewski (Frank), Edward Prince (Barbara), Nancy Reed (Tanju), and Allison Hall (Ray); her three siblings Jean Hornef, Audrey Verzino (Tony), John Adkin (Liz) (Watts); 11 grandchildren, Tara Spencer (Travis), Jeffery Maiewski (Stephanie), Ryan Maiewski, Jenny Spencer (Brandon), Kelly Brown (Forrest), Robert Reed, Jaime Reed, Katie Stiefel (David), Jesse Regan , Emily Regan (Harley Loef), and Elissa Regan; and her 14 great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Celebrant Polly Starnes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.
