Nancy Thacker Wilcher, 67, of Lynchburg, died, Thursday, August 1, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of Ray Edward Wilcher. Born June 29, 1946, in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Billy Sunday Thacker and the late Mildred Kidd Thacker.
Nancy was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith. Nancy was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Ronnie Franklin (Mary), Cynthia F. Smith (Bobby), Linda Franklin (Scott) all of Lynchburg; six siblings, Mike Thacker of Amherst, Buck Thacker (Wendy) of Arrington, Joey Thacker (Cynthia) of Piney River, Patricia Thacker of Madison Heights, Dorothy Burks (Donald) of Amherst and Barbara Campbell also of Amherst; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Mickey Ryan officiating.
There will be no public visitation hours at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
