Ollie F Mayhew

Born on January 20, 1920 in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie and Mamie Fears.

Ollie retired from General Electric and she was a member of College Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir at the church, listening to gospel music, spending time with her friends at McDonalds for coffee and bingo, traveling, and especially spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Wayne T. Mayhew; and twelve siblings.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Mayhew and wife Norma; two grandchildren, Reggie Mayhew and wife Rebecca and Melissa Mayhew; one great granddaughter, Tiffany Mayhew; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Rev. Andrew Grose officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 am.
