Ottie Conner Hamilton

Born in South Boston, she is the daughter of the late Jimmie Hill Conner and the late Flossie Booth Conner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Nance, one sister, Dorothy C. Herbert and two brothers, Bruce Conner and James Conner.

Ottie was a faithful member of Rustburg Baptist Church and a retired employee of Craddock-Terry Shoe Corp. after 26 years of service.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Donald Nance of Tampa, FL; one stepdaughter, Kathy H. Ellington and her husband, Ronnie of Evington; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ottie was made very comfortable and treated wonderfully by the staff on the Skilled Care floor of the English Building at Virginia Baptist and by the staff from Centra Hospice and the family sends their special thanks.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Rick Cole, officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.am, Monday, June 15, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
