Phyllis Dolores Hodges

Born on April 28, 1937 in North Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Woodrow Thornsbury and Ruth Nadine Morgan Thornsbury.

Dolores was a RN and Operating Room Supervisor with Virginia Baptist Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and painting. She was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Hodges; brother, Coley "Lou" Thornsbury; and brother-in-law, Jack Elliott.

In addition to her husband, Dolores is survived by three grandchildren, Michael Hodges, Steven Hodges, and Christy Hodges; sister, Thanna Elliott; brother, Walter Thornsbury and wife Helen; sister-in-law, Brenda Thornsbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Larry Brodie and Pastor Richard Jett officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
