Born April 16, 1932 in Campbell County, he was the son of the late Charlie Alexander and Effie Scott Bowen and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Lee Bowen and Edgar William Bowen and a sister, Betty B. Harris. He was retired from Centra Health and was a member of Leawood Baptist Church.
Mr. Bowen is survived by two sisters, Carol B. Rafferty of Rustburg and Janet B. Workman of Evington.
In following with Mr. Bowen’s wishes, he will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Lenn Lloyd officiating.
