Raymond Moore Leech, Jr., 85, of Forest passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was the husband of Louise Phillips Leech; his wife of 63 years. Born November 13, 1932, in Bedford County, he was the son of Elsie Graybill Leech and the late Raymond Moore Leech, Sr.
Raymond was a HVAC technician, retiring from Terrell Moseley Inc., where he worked for 41 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Frankfurt, Germany. He was a member of Timberlake Christian Church. Raymond was a loving father and grandfather, and will be missed by all.
In addition to his father, Raymond was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas D. Leech and two sisters, Dolly Burns and Elizabeth McGruer.
In addition to his wife and mother, Raymond is survived by two children, Stephen P. Leech (Gwen) of Beaverdam and Betty L. Brockwell (Chet) of Lynchburg; one brother, Billy Leech of Forest; four grandchildren, Charlie Leech, Preston Leech, Chester Brockwell and Isley Brockwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Timberlake Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Mooty officiating. A reception will follow after the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake Christian Church or the American Lung Association.
