Survivors are a son, Steve and a daughter, Theresa, both of Lynchburg. Also surviving is a sister, Marjorie Parks and her husband Emmett of Lynchburg; and two nephews, Jerry Scott of Lynchburg and Stuart Scott of Tempe, AZ.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of World War II. He retired from the accounting department of General Electric with 30 years of service. He was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 16.
