Robert Earl Coalson

Robert Earl Coalson, 61, of Lynchburg, died, Sunday, July 21, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Robin Hensley Coalson. Born November 22, 1951, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Elwood Earl Coalson and the late Peggy Ann McKenna Coalson.

Robert was a retired estimator for Lynchburg Steel Company. He also loved to play golf and go fishing. Robert was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his son, Leonard Brian Coalson and his wife Melissa of Spout Springs; his daughter, Jamie Petreece Kress and her husband David of Appomattox; two brothers, Keith Coalson and his wife Susan of Lynchburg and Todd Coalson and his wife Tammy of Altavista; three grandchildren, Alison Zimmerman, Jacob Landry and Joshua Landry; best friend, Gene White of Madison Heights; one nephew and four nieces. “We will always love you, and you will never be forgotten.”

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Alan Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
