Ronald Vaden Ross

Ronald Vaden Ross, 72, of Lynchburg, died, Friday, December 28, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy Seay Ross. Born October 7, 1940, in Smyth County, he was the son of the late Ray J. Ross and the late Lucille Armstrong Ross.

Ronald was a retired industrial engineer for Intermet and a member of First Baptist Church, Monroe, VA. Ronald was also a member of the Gideon’s.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon R. Clements and Brenda R. Arthur.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his son, Vaden R. Ross and his wife Linda of Christiansburg; his daughter, Jo R. Davis of Amherst; his siblings, Rev. Larry Ross of Bedford and Myrene R. Brown, Rayetta R. Knight and Ellen R. Branch, all of Big Island; three grandchildren, Diane Ross, Justin Ross and Jennifer Ross; one great-grandson, Dylan Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Monroe, VA, with the Rev. Glynn Coleman officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Monroe, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Monroe, VA.
