She was born on September 10, 1942 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Mamie and John Harris. She worked for TriTech Labs. Sarah was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Hammock.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Cindy Seamster, and her husband John, two grandchildren: John Samuel Seamster, and his wife Kristie, and Lesley Seamster; two great-grandchildren: Alona Seamster and Madyson Palmer; her six sisters and three brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Leesville Road Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends tonight, Friday, April 30, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
