I was so sorry to hear of Steve's passing, I worked with Steve, and we spent hours, talking about drawing, he was a very  talented artist. He liked to draw in chalk, and I liked pencil, so we traded  art work. I still have the picture he drew framed, and on my wall, I drew a picture of him, to give to his mother. He was a Great Friend, and I will miss him deeply. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  Steve and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Steven.  I have such good memories growing up with him.  He always had me laughing.  Pauline, Dan and family may God comfort you in this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Vaughan family, I was sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  Many prayers to all of you at this time. I have many memories of hanging out with Steve on sooooo many occasions. I was sad to have lost touch over the years, but did not stop thinking of the old neighborhood and the memories we shared. Just know that he was definitely one of a kind. I think maybe God rang the bell for him to come home! God bless.

I was just thinking of Stevie a couple of weeks ago. I recall spending a great deal of time at the Vaughan household when I was growing up. Fishing at the pond, playing in the woods, or spending hour after hour in the winter playing in the snow with Phil, Robbie, and Stevie – maybe from daylight to well past dark. Even as we got older, I would periodically go with him to Roanoke where he performed in the comedy circuit. Some jokes were bombs, some were corny, but most – oh, he could get an audience laughing for sure.

 That is one thing that just made him tick – give it your best shot, hope for the best, and enjoy the ride. I think he got that from his parents – do your best, do not give up, and go for it!  I can still hear those sentiments echo in both a stern Scottish accent, as well as a petite, well-mannered and motherly voice – but do not be fooled by her stature – she meant it!  

The last amount of time I really spent around him was just as I was exiting the U. S. Air Force and he was about to enter, and he was so proud of that, and looking forward to the adventure. Stevie – thank you fellow airman, for your service, your sacrifice, and your allegiance. 

To the Vaughan family who remains behind for now, I can only say that I am so very sorry for your loss and sorrow at this time. It was a privilege to know Stevie and all of you, and I trust you will find comfort in knowing that his life truly did make a difference to so many people.

I am sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  I have many fond memories of him from our days in school.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Vaughn family during this sad and difficult time.
