Terry Jones Staton Sr.

Born September 16, 1933 in Elon, VA, he was the son of the late Albert Moten Staton and Mary Henson Staton and was also preceded in death by four siblings. Mr. Staton was a retired, self-employed mechanic and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Staton is survived by two daughters, Donna Wright and husband Vernon “Al” and Julie Ayers, both of Forest; a son, T.J. Staton of Concord, VA; one brother, Robin ”Bobby” Staton and wife Shirley of Madison Heights; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Greg Mayhorn officiating. Interment with military honors by American Legion Post 16, will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
