Theresa Henson Guthrie

Theresa Henson Guthrie, 79, of Lynchburg, died, Monday, July 8, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Clyde Guthrie. Born January 10, 1934, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Morton Patterson Henson and the late Elsia Cenia Hudson Williams.

Theresa was a retired inspector for the Ericcson Corporation and a member of Sandusky Baptist Church.

Theresa is survived by her children, Marcia Gilliam and her husband Joseph of Bedford, Clyde James Guthrie and his wife Barbara of Henrico and Michael David Guthrie and his wife Trisha K. of Minot, ND.; seven grandchildren, Joey Gilliam, Chris Gilliam, Brandon Guthrie, Tabitha Hayes, Sabrina Groves, Erin Guthrie and Konnor Guthrie; seven great-grandchildren; close friends, Lucille Pendleton and Louise Capraro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Ed Vogt officiating.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
