Thomas Stephen Hubbard

Steve was born on September 24, 1928, in Amherst County, a son of the late Gracie and Thomas Steven Hubbard. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He worked for GE as a technician in the Engineering Department.

Steve is survived by his two daughters: Gloria Sue Lewis, and her husband Simon, and Angela Regina Hudson, and her husband Alan; his five sons: Mitchell Stephen Hubbard, and his wife Debbie, Gary Patrick Hubbard, Johnny Abbott Hubbard, Timothy Duane Hubbard, and Anthony Jay Hubbard; his two sisters: Margaret Bryant, and Lilly Ann Williamson; his three brothers: Charles Hubbard, Freddie Hubbard, and Preston Hubbard; his sister-in-law, Virginia Hubbard; his brother-in-law, Wayne Horsley; 24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Altavista Memorial Park with Rev. Walter Yancey and Pastor J. D. Surbaugh, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
