Trudy Waeschle Fischer

Born in Zurich, Switzerland, August 2, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Karl Waeschle and Marie Greber Waeschle. She was a restaurateur for many years, but spent the latter years caring for her home and family, as well as volunteering in the gift shop at Virginia Baptist Hospital for 25 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Edith Fischer of Waynesboro and her friend Greg Lipscomb of Roseland; two sons, Chris Fischer of Lynchburg and Stefan Fischer and his wife Monica of Glade Spring; three grandchildren, Corey Fischer, Thomas Fischer and Sarah Fischer; two great grandchildren, Emma and Charlotte; one sister, Emmely Herzog and one brother, Eduard Waeschle both of Zurich, Switzerland.

No services are scheduled locally. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Switzerland.
