Virginia June Hall

She was born in Lynchburg on March 15, 1935, daughter of the late Emmett C. Brooks and Elizabeth B. Brooks.

Virginia was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and retired from Family Dollar Stores. She loved flowers and birds and enjoyed shopping.

Her husband of 55 years, James Edward Hall; two infant children, and four siblings, Doug Brooks, Sandra Fielder, Dale Brooks and Dawn Frye, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 5 children, Deborah Robertson Stewart (Dennis), Donna Hall, Angela Hamilton, Tony Hall (Kim), and Tina Hall; 3 siblings, Delores Tucker, Clinton Brooks (Richard), and Linda Powell (Junior); 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren as well as 3 boys on the way and a number of nieces and nephews. Her special canine baby, Tinka also survives her.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to June’s caregivers, Donna, Monica, Angie and Halie.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Snowden officiating. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
