

Born on October 5, 1937, in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward Eubank and Ruth Burks Eubank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Compton Eubank, and two brothers, Frank T. Eubank and Harry T. Eubank.
Billy was a proud patriot who honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service, he worked for many years at Lynchburg General Hospital, where he made lasting friendships and contributions.
A man of many passions, Billy had a deep love for country music and found joy in playing his guitar. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—fishing, bowling, and tending to his yard. His faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of his life, and he carried that strength and devotion with him each day.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon E. Zavaleta (Ricardo) of Chapel Hill, NC, and her children, Matthew Zavaleta and Andrew Zavaleta; his stepdaughter, Terri Gowell (Frank), and her sons, Frank Allen Gowell and Bryan Haven Gowell, along with a great-granddaughter, Brya Haven Gowell. He is also survived by two brothers, Henry Eubank (Patricia) and Joe Eubank (Maggie), as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will cherish his memory.
A graveside inurnment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025 at Allwood Cemetery. Military honors by the American Legion Post 16.

Billy will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering faith, love for music and family, and his enduring patriotism.
