William Henry Farmer

Born in Lynchburg, November 24, 2953, he was a son of Ozelia Staton Farmer of Lynchburg and the late William John Farmer. Bill was a US Army veteran and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where he devoted the last year of his life in service.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bernie Wayne Farmer.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include five children, Scott Farmer and his wife Amber and Travis Farmer, Beth Boyd and her husband Steve and Brandon Dunn and Billy Lee of Charlottesville; one sister, Barbara Leebrick and husband Ray and one brother, James Farmer and wife Regina and four grandchildren, Jade Farmer, Kierra Knight, Cale Boyd and Avery Farmer; a devoted nephew Bernie Farmer, Jr. and two special children, Kayla McDaniel and Gabby Carey whom he considered granddaughters.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating.

The family will host a reception and receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
