

Wilson Warren Womack, Sr., 96, of Forest, died, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Elsie Carson Womack. Born April 5, 1916, in Prince Edward County, he was the son of the late Henry Newton Womack and the late Eva Hamilton Womack.
Mr. Womack was a retired shop mechanic and a member of Timberlake Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his son, Wilson Warren Womack, Jr.; six sisters and four brothers; and daughter-in-law, Alice S. Womack.
Mr. Womack is survived by his daughter, Glenda W. Raborn and her husband Wayne of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Womack of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Kevin W. Womack of Forest, Erinn S., Megan B. and Evan W. Raborn, all of Richmond, Mandi R. McClain (Zacharie) of Maryland, step-granddaughter, Marsha Leighton of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., May 5, 2012, at Virginia Memorial Park with the Rev. James Alley and Pastor Richard Jett officiating.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake Baptist Church.
