Windfery Lacy Waller

Windfery Lacy Waller, 82, of Lynchburg, died, Monday, February 21, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Cora Conner Waller. He was born October 28, 1928, in Halifax County, to the late Otis Waller and Gracie Guthrie Waller.

Mr. Waller was a self-employed concrete finisher for Waller Construction and a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Waller is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Candace Renee Staton; and three siblings, Curtis Waller, Geraldine Waller and Gwendolyn Rogers.

Mr. Waller is survived by two daughters, Connie S. Conner and her husband, Bruce of Amherst and Donna W. Cash and her husband, Morris of Amherst County; five siblings, Helen Miller of Richmond, Bennie Waller and his wife Ann of Farmville, Kenneth Waller and his wife Jane of Volens, Arlene Harris and her husband Rupert of Cody, Jean Waller of Cody and Beatrice Jordan of Cody; five grandchildren, Larnie Gerald Staton, Jr., Jason E. Staton, Robert C. Nuckols, Todd L. Nuckols and Dustin W. Conner; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Dr. Melvin Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
