Charlie Kennedy Jr.

Charlie was born September 3, 1924 in Louisville, Alabama, the son of the late Charlie and Lee Ella (Lane) Kennedy, Sr.

Charlie was the eldest of 12 children. He moved to Lyndonville in 1957 where he worked for several years farming fruit. In the 1970’s Charlie worked at a local company making saw blades. He enjoyed working in his garden, watching baseball and westerns and most of all spending time with his family.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Alice (Redding) Kennedy and 12 children; son, Charles (Pam) Kennedy of Rochester, NY, daughter, Martha Middleton of Lyndonville, NY; son, Jesse (Denise) Kennedy of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Leola (Jeremiah) Savage of Chili, NY; son, Frank (Mona) Kennedy of Cortland, NY; daughter, Leza (Terrell) Woolfolk of Mount Vernon, NY; daughter, Rose (Louis) Joseph of Lockport, NY; son, James Kennedy of Geneva, NY; daughter, Mary Beth Kennedy of Lyndonville, NY; daughter, Sarah (Michael) Davis of Niagara Falls, NY; son, Willie David Redding of Cortland, NY; daughter, Marion (Dean) Blanchard of Buffalo, NY; 28 Grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4PM – 6PM at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main Street, Lyndonville, NY 14098. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19th at 1PM at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 3830 Stone Rd., Middleport, NY 14105.
