

Alice was born on December 21, 1940, in Kannapolis, NC, to William Clyde Roberts and Fay Eulistune Mull. She was a devoted member of Life Fellowship Church in Athens, TX, where she found joy in her faith and community. Alice loved cooking, crocheting, making jewelry, hosting Easter egg hunts for her family, and leading Bible study for her church. Her favorite poem was “Footprints in the sand”.
In 1976, Alice married the love of her life, Wayne Walter McCreary, and together they created a beautiful life filled with family, love, and cherished memories.
Alice is survived by her loving husband, Wayne McCreary; her children, Angela Helms and Karitha Helms; and her stepson, Trey McCreary and wife, Cindi. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren: Stacy Hart and husband Zach, Michelle Smith-Wallis and husband David, Nicole Tomlinson and husband Robbie, Jackee Davis and husband Jason, Thomas Carroll, Samuel Carroll and wife Jordan, Alice Faye McClure, Christian McClure, Terry Maynard, Chelsi Bartosh and husband Jonathan, Maci Albaugh and husband Garrett, and Aurora McCreary.
She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren: Alex Hart, Terryn Martin, Mikayla Miller, Kelan Guthrie, Andrew Miller, Jacob Miller, Emily Hart, Jessica Davis, Jason Davis, Jaylynn Davis, Samantha Carroll, Arya Tomlinson, Eli Bartosh, Adilee Tomlinson, and Eden Albaugh.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, William Clyde Roberts and Fay Eulistune Mull; her daughter, Gloria McClure; her son-in-law, Terry Wayne Smith; and her grandson, Ricky McClure Jr.
Though she is gone, Alice’s light continues to shine through the lives of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
