Barbara Ann Crowe Webb was born on October 24, 1930, at home in Young County, Texas, to Bessie Jewel Crowe and William Elmer Crowe. She grew up on the Finch Ranch with her two sisters and brother. Barbara knew Jesus at an early age and sang “Sweetest Name I Know” only a few days before her death.
She graduated as valedictorian from Olney High School at the age of 16 and by 19, she had graduated from North Texas State University and was teaching high school at Megargel, Texas. Her career led her to Brownfield, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Robert Delwin Webb, whom she married on December 28, 1954.
She lived, she laughed, she loved. She lost her beloved Delwin all too soon on April 17, 1987. From that time on, she devoted herself to family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, her parents, her brother Norman, and a host of friends.
She leaves behind her daughter, Rhonda Henry, of Rowlett, Texas, and daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Larry Essary of Raleigh, North Carolina. Her four grandchildren kept her young: Lance Henry and wife Mandy of Dallas, Alyson Henry and fiance Brandon Thornley of Dallas, and Amber and Rachel Essary of Raleigh, North Carolina. She leaves behind sister Pat Underriner and sister and brother-in-law Linda and Jerry Symns, all of Mabank, Texas.
Through 27 years of teaching, she impacted thousands of students for the better.
Her faith, fierce spirit, courage, and unrelenting love will live in our hearts forever. We love you Bobba .
