Mr. Bethel Eugene Williams Sr.

Bethel Eugene Williams Sr. was born on October 30, 1933 in Andice, Texas to parents Robert Lee and Ola B. (Person) Williams and entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2017 at the age of 83. Bethel was known as “Gene” to his family and friends and “DeDe” to his grandchildren. Gene was a hard working, but caring and loving husband, father, brother, grandad and uncle. He had “Old School” values. Gene loved riding his tractor and mowing the grass. He enjoyed watching black and white westerns and loved the song, “Sky Ball Paint”. Gene was a self-employed mechanic and owned his auto shop for 50 plus years. He was a simple man, but a great provider and self-sufficient. Gene loved traveling to see his family and spending time with them. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Gene was an amazing and loving man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maggie Maurine Williams, brother Lee Williams and sister Pearl Brown.

He is survived by his daughter Drena Webb and husband Bill of Trinidad, son Eugene Williams and wife Lou Ann of Seagoville, son Larry Williams and wife Sharon of Mesquite and daughter Donna Neel and husband Glynn of Lindale, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, sister Jewell Reeves of Van, many nieces and nephews, other loving family and many more friends.
