

Dani Barnes was born on October 25, 1955 in Orange, Texas to parents Milford and Gay Nell (Allred) Hardin and entered into eternal rest on June 30, 2017 at the age of 61. Dani graduated from North Dallas High School and attended El Centro College of Dallas; where she took management and fine arts. She was employed with local 745 Teamsters in Dallas. Dani married the love of her life, Dana Barnes, in Athens, Texas on May 15, 1981 and remained together in love for thirty six years. She was very strong willed and determined. Dani was also loving and had a big heart of gold. She was not selfish, and would help anybody in the world, with anything. Dani loved animals and was a mom and doctor to many. She had a strong desire to make others happy. Dani enjoyed holding her granddaughters, reading books, making quilts and crafts. She loved being outdoors; on the beach and hanging out with nature. Dani was a member of Mainstsreet Pentecostal Church of Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was an amazing lady who was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Dani was preceded in death by her father Milford Hardin, mother-in-law Lillie Kirkwood, brother-in-law Benny Holt and her special aunt Ruby Hardin.
She is survived by her husband Dana Barnes of Payne Springs, daughter Melissa Fletcher of Payne Springs, daughter Stephanie Johnson of Farmers Branch, daughter Michelle Barnes of Denton, step-son Daniel Barnes of CA, grandson Jared Barnes of Hico, granddaughter Makayla Fletcher of Hico, granddaughter Zoie Johnson of Farmers Branch, granddaughter Kylie Johnson of Farmers Branch, grandson Ryan Vigil and wife Rachael of OK, granddaughter Cassie Vigil of Denton, grandson David Welch and wife Lindsay of Melissa, mother Gay Nell Hardin of Orange, sister Dottie Holt of Deweyville, cousin Charles Holt of Deweyville, bestest friend ever Mary Reed, all the kids from the neighborhood in Payne Springs, other loving family members and many more friends.
